Discover Lantzville Real Estate
Lantzville can be found just north of Nanaimo city limits, although it feels just like an extension of the city. It is a separate district, with it’s own mayor and town council and is part of the Regional District of Nanaimo.
This popular town is separated into Upper and Lower Lantzville. While both are primarily residential, Lower Lantzville has a distinct village atmosphere whereas Upper Lantzville possesses rustic appeal.
There's nothing rustic about the Lantzville real estate market, however. Though the area has definite charm, the homes lean towards the high-end of the market. Expansive ocean views, mature landscaping, and generous lots makes this a winner for any homebuyer looking to move-up.
Upper Lantzville
The Upper Lantzville neighborhood is more rural than other neighbourhoods and you will find much larger lots compared to other Nanaimo real estate for sale. These properties are perfect for people who want a more rural lifestyle or that want to start a small farm. Similar to other neighbourhoods in the area, Upper Lantzville is relatively close to the North End and the major shopping areas and parks.
Lower Lantzville
Lower Lantzville consists of the area that surrounds the small village center and can provide the best of both worlds for potential home-owners. The neighbourhood has a small, active commercial center and for those that want more hustle and bustle, Nanaimo’s North end is only a few minutes away. Lower Lantzville is where you will find the quaint Lantzville village. Lower Lantzville real estate is comprised of larger and more spacious lots. The area also offers some very scenic ocean property along Lantzville Road.

Families enjoy swimming and sun bathing at Sebastian Beach, where you can also sit and enjoy gorgeous sunsets off the Winchelsea Islands. Sebastian Beach can be accessed either from Sebastian Road or Harper Road. It offers a pleasant and safe setting much of the year. The bay is a pleasant place to visit, and the water is not very deep off the sandy beach.
Arbutus Grove Provincial Park is only a 14 minute drive north-west of downtown Lantzville and appeals to all outdoor enthusiasts. The park was established as a Provincial Park in 1966 and aims to protect a representative stand of Arbutus trees. Hikers use the park as a quiet nature viewing area. The community has done an excellent job of developing a number of useful and attractive neighborhood parks including Copley, Huddlestone and Rotary Parks.
