North Jingle Pot

The Jingle Pot Road area of Nanaimo is remarkably rural, especially when one considers its proximity to both downtown and the major shopping convenience of the north end of town. Before the Parkway was built in the late 1990's, Jingle Pot was much more remote, one long loop curving from Harewood to the base of the mountain, and out toward Diver Lake. Now, two major intersections on the Parkway access Jingle Pot Rd. However, most traffic turns away from that direction, so it may be observed that the Jingle Pot area is quiet AND convenient.

Homes in the Jingle Pot area come in a variety of shapes and styles, with lavish equestrian properties shouldered up to modern split-levels, across the road from solid old farm homes.

The Jingle Pot area is now split into the two neighborhoods of North and South Jingle Pot. Buyers who are looking for larger more rural properties but still want to be close to the city should start their search in North Jingle Pot. This neighborhood is probably the largest in the city and is a mixture of acreages, farms and subdivisions.

Being in the Northern part of the city you are relatively close to all the major shopping malls. Several newer higher-end suburban neighbourhoods are being developed at a rapid rate; including Benson Meadows, Shady Mile and Rock Ridge.

The scenic views along with quick access to both Downtown and North End shopping makes this a highly desirable area. Rising property values reflect the demand for Jingle Pot homes for sale.
